Waxing Your Car Is A Worthwhile Effort

Waxing Your Car Is A Worthwhile Effort

I admit that I love cars, so it's easier for me to apply myself to the discipline of washing and waxing. Still, I often get busy and have a hard time keeping up. What keeps me motivated is the knowledge that the time and effort pays off in the long run.

Many people don't know that washing a car fails to remove all the possible contaminants that can adhere to your car's paint. It's certainly important to wash with regularity. And it's a good idea to use a car shampoo, a deep bucket of water a proper washing mitt and micro fiber towels for drying. It won't hurt to use a soft cotton terry towel but use a light touch. Drying is faster and easier with an auto squeegee.

It's important to wash and wax your car away from direct sunlight and it helps if the surface is cool. An overcast day can be ideal. A hot surface can make water dry faster - with unappealing water spots. And it also makes wax harder to work with.

There are lots of different kinds of wax on the market and many different ways to apply it. Your paint needs to be "cleaned" after it's been washed. That means removing those extra contaminants I mentioned earlier. Tree sap, bug juice, industrial fallout and other airborne evils can stick to your paint, preventing it from having the kind of shine that you want. It's also important to know that "clean" paint is easier to wash and keep clean.
After your car has been washed you then go to the paint cleaning stage. There are a few ways to do this.

A common way is to use a cleaner wax, which incorporates a cleaning agent and wax in one product and applied in one step. Another way to do it is to is to use a paint cleaner as a special product. You can then apply a pure carnauba wax, or use a polish before the wax. A third way to do this is to use detailing clay.

Many people are unfamiliar with detailing clay but it's a great product and can be very effective in removing contaminants. Detailing clay is available online, at many auto parts stores and from top quality catalogs. Detailing clay requires some kind of lubricant in the process, like a quick detailing spray. You can also use a spray bottle with soapy water. The clay won't last forever. When it starts falling apart you know that it's pulled up too much junk to work any longer.

One of the advantages of detailing clay relates to the downside of using cleaner wax. If you press too hard when using cleaner wax you can create swirl marks in your paint. The same is true when washing your car. Detailing clay greatly decreases the risk of making those marks, and it's pretty easy to use. It sounds kind of odd, but it really works well.

The end result of regular washing and occasional waxing is a car that you'll be more proud to own and sell. When you take that kind of care of your car, be prepared for ready buyers. On the other hand, you might like your car so much you might not want to sell it.

Caring For Your Car's Finish Increases Its Value

Caring For Your Car's Finish Increases Its Value

The "total cost of ownership" refers to all expenses relating to owning your car. It's not just the purchase price and taxes, it's also the insurance, fuel, tires, maintenance and repairs. Add it all up and then subtract the amount that you get for your car when you sell it.

Most people know that they need to be diligent with their maintenance schedule if they're going to avoid expensive major repairs. Following a maintenance schedule is easy because you have an owner's manual as a guide. But people sometimes fail to realize that they need to wash their car regularly and wax it.
There are several reasons why you should care for your car's paint finish. It takes some time and effort, but it can be well worth it.

When dirt and debris build up on your car, especially in nooks and crannies, it attracts and retains moisture, which can lead to rust. It's not just about dirt. It's also leaves and other plant life that can make its way into different places, even under the hood. Cars that are frequently parked outside are particularly vulnerable to the elements.

There's a psychological factor at work as well. When your car is clean you like it more, respect it more and pay more attention to its mechanical condition. In contrast, a dirty car isn't as respected by its owner and is less likely to be taken to the shop at the first sign of trouble.
There's no hard and fast rule as to how often you should wash your car or wax it. It all depends on the conditions. If you work from home, garage your car and only drive on sunny days your schedule will be far different from an owner whose car sits outside and drives it every day in all weather conditions.
For the average owner I can recommend washing it as often as is practically possible and wax it twice per year.

One thing people often don't know is that it's not enough to simply wash your car. A lot of things can stick to your paint that aren't easily removed by simple washing. Many waxes have a cleaning element that helps to remove the extra debris. Not surprisingly, it's called "cleaner wax" and it's readily available from many sources.

Another tip is to consider using some kind of machine like an orbital buffer or a dual action buffer. For most people, a high speed buffer should be avoided. They require more training to use, especially if wool pads are used. Too much heat can result in "burning the paint," a condition that's not easy to fix.
If you do a good job of caring for your car's finish, you'll be far more likely to sell it easily for a good price. In more than one occasion I've been able to sell a car without advertising it because it was commonly known that I take great care of my cars.

Tinting Your Car Windows

Tinting Your Car Windows

In earlier days the application of window tinting in cars was supposed to be a symbol of rebellion or a privilege of celebrities, however now it has undergone a full transformation and become a necessity of the people, or a source of luxury. As a chief method of blocking the advent of excessive ultra violet rays, solar heat and its damaging effects, car window tinting is used effectively as a glare reflection tool.

Window tints are available in an assortment of types, hues and qualities, which further decides on the tolerance level of tint. The contents of the tints are metalized dyes which convert the solar radiation to infrared radiation, which in turn gets reflected back from the mirror surface of the glass.

Car window tinting is highly recognized for the benefits it gives the driver and the passengers of the car. Ultra violet rays as a potential threat pose severe risks, thus window tint acts as an absolute necessity protecting the driver from their effects. The excessive release of ultraviolet rays is because of the depleting ozone layer on a continuous basis. Thus it is a potential threat for those who tend to travel a lot on the open roads, and directly in contact with the rays.

Window tinting is one of the main reasons as to why the rate of road accidents has come down to lower figures. Adverse conditions are initiated when direct light falls on the face of the driver due to sunlight, snow or from any other vehicle. Tinting blocks the excessive glare from getting reflected onto the eyes of the driver. The metallic content of the tint reduces the chances of shattering of the glass pieces on the face of the driver or the passengers in case of an accident, along with protecting them from direct sunlight.

Car tinting controls the temperature within the vehicle, so most of the property within the vehicle remains unaffected, and thus the mileage also improves considerably. It is tough protection against the direct effect of sunlight which often destroys the internal components of the car like dashboards and seats. Excessive sunlight also has serious effects on the electronic appliances, as the heating tends to loosen up the grip of a number of fiber and plastic materials.

The right quality of tinting would help ward away the dangers of overheating, and propel the circulation of cool air within the vehicle, making it more comfortable. These benefits cover a diverse scope and are the reasons why one should opt for window tinting.

Buying A New Car

Buying A New Car

The cost of a new car nowadays equals about what my parents paid for their first home. It's not a purchase to be taken lightly. You want to do everything possible to ensure you get a great deal.

Never rush your decision. If you are completely without transportation, rent a vehicle until you find the right car. When you rush a purchase, you usually end up on the losing end of the deal.

Thanks to the Internet, you can uncover the typical retail cost of a specific make and model. With a little digging, you can find out the wholesale cost as well. This information makes you a powerful negotiator.

You want a win-win situation with the car dealership. They need to make some profit, and you need to feel you paid a fair price. It's fair to negotiate to a price that's $500 above dealer cost or about 20% off the sticker price. So take along your calculator when you shop.

If the only cars on the lot have expensive options you don't care for, you might want to order a car to your specifications. You might wait a bit, but will save money on options you don't need.

Check with the dealership to see if you can return the car if you don't like it. I did this once. The car I purchased ended up less comfortable than my old car, so the next morning I took it back for my check and my trade-in. Many dealerships now offer this option.

You may have heard the advice to shop the last day of the month for better deals. It's true that you might get a better deal from a salesman then.

As far as trade-ins go, do your research here, too. Knowing the value of your old car makes it easier to negotiate a better price for it. Try not to talk about a trade-in possibility until you get a purchase price.

I researched the value of my little red Corolla and found that it was $3500. One dealership offered me $1200 because "they'd have to repaint it". Another dealership offered me $3500 and complimented me on taking such good care of the engine. Stick to your guns when it comes to getting the value of your trade-in, especially if you’ve had your car serviced regularly.

You may want to advertise your older car and sell it privately. Typically you can get a better price this way, but it may take a little time.

A service contract will likely be brought into the negotiation. The consumer information I've read discourages buying an extra contract on a new car, as it's not likely a problem will occur during the first months of use.

Whatever you do, always read the fine print of any contract before signing it. Ask a bazillion questions about what certain phrases mean if you don’t understand something.

Simply because the car just rolled off the factory line doesn’t mean you should buy it without asking questions. Keep on your toes during the negotiation process. There’s nothing like the thrill of getting a new car AND creating a win-win situation for you and the dealer.

3 Fast Tips on How To Sell Your Car for the Most.

Tip 1 - Pick your time. If you can possibly help it, don't sell your car after Christmas, when no one has any money. Consider holiday periods: will the people be in town or away. Sometimes this can work in your favour because if people are not at work they have more time to look for cars, and they are usually cashed up with nothing to do.

On the reverse side, when buyers are busy working, they don't have the time to do a lot of car shopping, which can make negotiating easier.

Additionally for this reason, if you get a buyer to come on a week-night, it is unlikely he can compare yours to other cars - which can sometimes work in your favour.

Tip 2 - First Impressions are everything Just like you are going on a date - first impressions are everything. Get all the rubbish and junk out of it. Deodorize it. Wash it, clean it.

Tip 3 - As the good boy scout says. Be prepared. Get your paperwork in order. Find the spare keys. You don't want to be rushing around at the last minute, just when the buyer is ready to go for it. You can't find something. He may just say, he'll get back to you. Believe me, it happens. So get organized before hand and you'll have a much smoother run of it.

Best Time To Buy A Car

Best Time To Buy A Car
Here are my reasons...
Let's take an auction from the finance company of a major manufacturer..
1. You've got a nearly new car. The previous driver took the "depreciation hit".
2. You're probably going to get a new warranty for at least 3 months - or save enough to purchase your own "extended warranty" if you are worried the car will fall apart on you.
3. You're going to probably get excellent "new car" financing rates on a used car just to get it off the lot.

Why all the goodies?
The company may have already completely written off the previous transaction as a "complete loss".
If so, they consider whatever they can get from you to be 100% profit!
Let's take a government auction... either from a drug dealer or an IRS seizure.
Why might these opportunities be the best time to buy a car?
Remember the drug enforcement officers and the IRS have NO COST BASIS in the car.
They're in the same position as the finance company that's written off their loss.
Like the finance company, the government agency selling items at auction have 100% to gain.
It's "found money" to them whether they make $1,000 or $10,000. Sure they'd like as much as possible on any given day, but they'll take the money and run.
So the best time to buy a car for these agencies is "any time they have an auction" as long as the car is something you can use or something you can quickly sell at a profit.
This isn't brain surgery.

It's just basic economics.
The answer to the question "when's the best time to buy a car" is simple economics.
1. Do you prefer to buy at RETAIL or WHOLESALE?
In other words, do you want to pay what the average person pays, including years of interest and face the risk of massive depreciation and being "upside down" on your loan (this is when you buy a new car that depreciates so fast when you go to trade it in, the car has no trade in value)?
Or do you want to buy a car at wholesale prices, like a dealer, and save thousands on not only the purchase price, but thousands of dollars in interest payments if you get a loan?
2. If you prefer to buy at retail, then by all means the best time to buy a car is at the end of the month in the closing hours of the day (and preferably the quarter).
3. If you prefer to buy at wholesale instead of retail, then the best time to buy a car is at auction.

There are many places now that are certified by the RTA that will install your child seats to ensure they meet safety standards.

Install child locks on doors - If your small children can easily reach the door handle it is a good idea to install child locks to prevent doors from opening while you are driving. If they are old enough to be able to be taught not to open the door, than you don't necessarily need this but for young ones this should be a main priority when making your car child-safe.

Teach your children about the importance of buckling up and make sure that all children are strapped in appropriately before you begin driving. If you have older children that want to be helpful by assisting you with buckling up younger siblings make sure that you double check that buckles have been fastened correctly.
Install shades in the back windows - Infants and young children have very sensitive skin. On a hot sunny day it's easy for us to forget how much sun they could be getting whilst in the back seat. This is why it's a good idea to install shades on the back windows. Even for short journeys, it's worth purchasing these shades and installing them to protect your children from the sun and to also help to keep them cool in the Summer.

Reverse sensor and reversing cameras - Installing the right technology in your car can help you and your family prevent accidents. It's always of course important that when you are reversing down your driveway that you triple check what's behind you. Sometimes little ones and their toys can be hard to see. For optimal safety, it's a good idea to install a reverse sensor and a reversing camera. You can have peace of mind not only while parking, but also when you are driving on your own property and a struggling to see if your children are inside or out. PRACTICE switch engine and continue the road is not good. Ideally, after the engine started, let two or three minutes before starting the journey. This is important to ensure that the engine in the heat.

Thus, each division will have a rub against wear due to heavy geselan faster so the engine will be damaged.
Calculated engine is hot enough when the needle slightly cooler water temperatures. Heating process is also applicable to transmission systems and other moving parts. When it starts to drive, do not continue to accelerate. Move slowly for some time before accelerating.
In addition, the engine also can not bear rough. Do not let the engine work in a low gear for too long, for example, three gear when climbing hills.
The practice of 'pull' of the old low-gear acceleration is also the way to power the car is not healthy for your health. If left too long in that situation, other than the engine power reduced, the engine will be too hot. The engine is always in extremely hot conditions will quickly be damaged.
The engine will also work beyond the maximum rotation of the axle in idle or at the time of the transfer gear to a lower position (eg, from gear to gear two of three) performed at the time the vehicle was moving at high speeds or when the vehicle is sliding on the road steep). So, but beware.
To keep the vehicle can be used in the long term also, the driver should not always do the acceleration, braking and turning abruptly, except in cases of urgency.
In addition, avoid too frequent use of brakes on a steep road or at high speed to avoid the restrictions of steam. Also avoid stepping on the clutch pedal is not needed and do not move the gear is rough, whether manual or automatic gear.

Leave on for one or two seconds before you hit the gas pedal. See smoke coming out the back. Blue smoke means the engine is fully dioverhaul. Where black smoke means karburatornya inappropriate.
White smoke does not indicate any defect in the engine when cold, but if the engine was hot it means the head gasket is leaking. This requires a large expenditure. So do not buy the car. The engine vibrates too strong showing was not very good car to buy. After the engine is heated, turn off the flash and try to swipe your finger into the exhaust (make sure the exhaust is not hot). Keladaknya should be whitish gray. If it is black or oily, just ignore the car.
Turn on the engine and check the oil in the automatic transmision. It must be clean without any smell of burning.·Salespeople may try to convince you that a pilot test in such a short distance in the vicinity of a building is sufficient. This is not true. State to whom you want to make a road test on the car. If the salesperson was not very interested. Find it in another car.
The road you plan to pass must include a dry road, the road is deserted, hilly roads, uneven roads and parking spaces are empty. All the meter must be functioning properly, especially oil gauge and engine temperature. If not do not buy the car.
Drive to a deserted road and increase speed to 56 kmh, tranmision automatically be changed without any noise or jerky. If the car has a system change hands, it should not be sticky-tack or a groan.
Slow down to 10 kmh car with the brake wear slowly. Make sure there is no sound. The car must also be slow in a straight line, without terpusing to the right or left.·INCREASE speeds up to 25 to 30 kmh and then press the brakes all of a sudden (make sure no other cars behind you). The car must be stopped quickly without terpusing. In the parking space is empty and flat, press brakes until the car is completely stopped.

After that the road back to normal, stop your car look backwards before continuing back and increase speed to about 80kmj. Increase the speed to be smoother and make sure no smoke out the back and there is no engine noise is not so good shows. If the acceleration (increase speed) took more than 15 seconds, this means that the engine is not very well and may require costly repairs to the expenditure.·BACK back to the parking space. Upon entering the parking space, let the engine for several minutes. Then look to the car whether or not there are oil droplets. Lift the engine cover and check the engine again to see any leaks. Less water in the radiator causes the heat engine

IF you see smoke or burn cars in the street, there must be something wrong on the car engine. One reason is the lack of water in the radiator causing the engine is hot.

In addition, the heat engine is also due to clogged radiator pipes, dirt in the radiator fins and damage to the fan and cooling system thermostat.
In fact, the ignition system is less accurate, damage to the fuel line system, the exhaust is clogged, the problem of clutch, brake friction and vehicle handling is also not good cause the engine to heat up.

The engine is too hot can be dangerous if later invited to act as it can cause your vehicle smoke, fire and then exploded.

If your engine overheats, stop by the roadside with shade. You do not have to panic, but stop the car and tried to do self-examination first.

The first step, open the bonnet to cool the vehicle while the engine and check one of the sources mentioned earlier. After that, check the radiator to ensure that vehicles do not leak in that part.

After that check the fan belt. If there is a leak in the radiator or a broken fan belt, switch off the engine. If there are no leaks in the radiator and fan belt is still good, turn on the engine and run it for a moment in the rotation is higher than normal.

Step is to allow air to flow through the radiator fins with a large number. The water in the radiator will be cold and the water pump will work more quickly so that the cooling water to flow better.

Not long after that the engine temperature decreases. Then lower the engine rotation earlier and open the radiator cap. The cover should be opened carefully to avoid dangerous spray of hot water and steam out of the radiator.

Fill water into the radiator while the engine is still slowly under normal conditions and turn off the engine when already cold. If too little water in the radiator, it will cause the engine to heat up and steam coming out of the radiator.

In this case, switch off the engine immediately and check the radiator.

First, open the radiator cap first and behind ketukannya using a screwdriver and turn it gently with a cloth.

Hold the container close to the radiator so steam can flow out and into the low pressure in the radiator. It is then the cap is released.

If, there is a leak in the radiator, especially in the connection pipe or channel, turn the engine at a higher rotation than usual and check the connection points.

The situation is critical because some leaks are not visible at low engine rotation. If there is a leak, tighten the screw fasteners and loop fasteners, if damaged, use the wire in place.

If there are leaks, wrap the damaged section with tape, and strengthened with wire. You have to remember that improvement is only for a while before being brought to a workshop nearby.

Radiator pipes are clogged due to the scale or the rust will affect the water cycle or cause it to stop even though there are a lot of water.

The situation may be found by examining the flow of waste water at the tap. If the water does not flow out smoothly or not at all, it shows the radiator pipes are blocked.

To fix it, open the tap on the engine block so that cooling water can be removed. Open the radiator cap and flush with water for about 10 minutes to remove the scale or rust.

Impurities in the radiator fins because of dry leaves, insects or mud embedded in the face of the radiator will cause the cooling air flow will be interrupted until the water becomes hot.

Impurities on the surface can be cleaned using high pressure air or water menyemburnya. The confusion in the vehicle control measures contributed to the engine heats up.

Although the engine is in good condition but when the vehicle was climbing a hill or overloading, it can get hot.

The engine can be cooled back to you shortly how to stop the vehicle, opened the bonnet, turn the engine at high speed or fill the radiator with cold water.
